Patrick is a Broker Associate with Jameson Sotheby’s in our Winnetka, Illinois office on Chicago’s North Shore and a Real Estate Agent with Mahler Sotheby's in our Milwaukee, Winconsin. He specializes in the Lake Forest & Lake Bluff communities where he is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and where he and his family call home. Patrick is an 11-year commercial and residential real estate professional. His deep transaction and investment experience provide an analytical, pragmatic approach to buying and selling real estate. He applies this approach to consider every detail of his clients’ needs, resulting in a strategy engineered to deliver results that exceed expectations.
Mr. Milhaupt has a long record of successfully guiding clients and investors through the acquisition, asset management, disposition or reposition of real estate assets - from single-family rentals to investment portfolios with value in excess of $500 million. He has mastered the ability to streamline the entire real estate transaction process to offer clients an easier, more exciting and more enjoyable experience.
Whether selling or buying a home, second home, small multifamily property, vacation rental, or raw land, Patrick has the skill and experience to execute his clients’ wishes. He began his real estate career while a student at The University of Notre Dame as an intern at CBRE for its Baltimore-Washington D.C. multifamily investment sales team. After graduating in 2007, he joined AvalonBay Communities, Inc. in Los Angeles, California as a Property Manager and Redevelopment Coordinator. He facilitated the on-site redevelopment operations of several luxury apartment communities throughout Los Angeles during his three-year tenure with the firm. He returned to school in 2011 to earn a Master of Science in Real Estate from The University of San Diego. In 2012, he entered into Asset Management working for Alliant Capital, Ltd. in Los Angeles, California and eventually World Class Holdings, Ltd. in Austin, Texas. His primary responsibilities at each firm were the performance management of real estate investment portfolios comprised of cross-sector assets on behalf of both institutional and high net worth individual investors of each firm. In 2016, prior to joining Sotheby’s International Realty, Patrick was an Investment Associate with HG Capital, LLC in Menlo Park, California, a privately held investment firm where he analyzed acquisition opportunities on behalf of the firm’s high net worth individual investors.
He holds a BA from The University of Notre Dame and a MS in Real Estate from The University of San Diego. He is an active member and participant within The Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate at The University of Notre Dame.
